Ticoba Matt Kirk

Matt Kirk with the top priced bulls purchased by Windsorvale Grazing

A strong show of support at Matt Kirk’s Tycoba Red Simbrah sale on Saturday 26th August saw a top price of $11,000 at their first on-property sale.

The bulls proved most popular, with a 100 per cent clearance, the top price bull ($11,000), and a gross of $167,400 and an average of $5,978.

Top priced bull was the fourth lot of the day, selling to Windsorvale Grazing, Charter Towers. Lot 4 was impressive on the books as well as in the flesh, with a scrotal circumference of 45cm, an EMA of 130, and tipping the scales at am impressed 930kg at 22 months of age.

The second top priced bull was the eighth bull, sold for $9,750 to Windsorvale Grazing also.

The volume buyer of the sale was Hazeldean Grazing from Wuruma Dam. The bulls grossed $42,500 for an average of $5,312.

The highlight of the sale was Lot 1 selling for $8,000. All of the proceeds from Lot 1 will be donated by Matt Kirk to the worthy charity Care Outreach. Care Outreach is a non-denominational Christian organisation with a vision to see transformed lives and communities. Their mission is to care for the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of people in rural and remote Australia. Care Outreach also has volunteer teams that assist with property support and domestic help.

Vendor Matt Kirk said he was more than happy with the result of the sale, which was their first on property sale. Matt said the interest and support from buyers was fantastic.
