Sales prices for the breed in recent weeks:

“The Pines”, for sale Warragul, information pills sold 15 Charolais & Simmental cross steers for $890 at Pakehnam Store Sale, prescription Victoria.
Simmental x yearling bulls from the Hayden family sold at Tamworth, NSW,  to 264c/kg ave 345kg for $913.
Simbrah steers by J Cormack Family Trust to 288c; Simmental X heifers by Iwona Partnership to 291c and Simmental X Cow & Calf units from B & D Saul to $1340 at Roma.
Simmental steers out of Jinabyine to $735 & $810 at Cooma.
Bradshaws of Wandoan sold Simmental x steers at Roma this week to $1359 and Allen and Sons sold Simbrah heifers to $1700.

Phillip Partridge of Summerhill Simmentals, Scottsdale,Tasmania reports his commercial cattle sale results from auctions plus on the 8th April all calves where 8-9 months of age and all Simmental/Angus at sale 15 top steers avg weight sold for $1045 a head, 2nd steers avg weight of 255 kg sold for $860 a head and our heifers with avg weight of 282 kg sold for $850 a head.

Sandy Morgan of Coolibah Simmentals, Guyra, NSW reports Simmental calves 7-9 months steers averaged 375kg straight off mum $1,260 not bad considering the tough seasonal conditions. Also 7-9month old heifers for $1,025.

Damelee Simmentals recently sold 8-9 month old weaners at Quoiba sale yards in Tasmania for $1070 each. Average weight 375kg, 12 hours off feed when weighed. All pure Simmental sired by Damelee Bulls. Thanks to Haylee Bennett for the update.
