DESCRIPTION:The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is thrilled to offer beef cattle breeders the opportunity to enter and exhibit in a unique hoof and hook-style competition\, to be held at Yea Saleyards on Friday 25 September 2020. \nIn response to the cancellation of the 2020 Royal Melbourne Show\, the RASV has received feedback from many schools and tertiary institutions seeking opportunities to fulfil all elements of their agricultural studies\, which would normally include the annual Royal Melbourne Show Beef Carcase Competition. \nAs a result of this feedback\, the RASV is pleased to announce a hoof and hook competition will take place this year as a one-off event to replace the Royal Melbourne Show Beef Carcase Competition. \nThe hoof and hook competition will be governed under the same regulations as the Royal Melbourne Show Beef Carcase Competition and exhibitors will be able to enter the competition online via the RASV website. \nFurther announcements including arrival times and the judging timetable will be provided with the release of the competition schedule later this month. \nPending government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic\, the hoof and hook competition will include led classes\, with exhibitors having the option for their animals to be judged unled. \nEntries will open on Wednesday 27 May and close Wednesday 24 June. \nEnter here
