Year end wrap-up
Dear Members
As we finish another seemingly fast flowing year, please find a few office updates below:
Inventory – All Autumn Inventory forms have been posted out as well as loaded to the member portal. You may still enter your fates/disposals through the ABRI online portal. Forms/batches will need to be to the office by 31st January 2023.
Christmas office hours –
Genetic Hub will close from 5pm, Thursday, 22nd December and reopen 9am Wednesday, 4th January.
Simmental office will close from 4pm Thursday, 22nd December and reopen 8am Tuesday, 3rd January.
Neogen will closed from 24th December and reopen Tuesday 3rd January.
Breedplan will close from 12pm Friday, 23rd December 2022 to 8.30am Wednesday, 4th January.
Co-operator herd link – We now have a way of linking family studs that run on the one property with the same bulls alleviating the need for a Registrar to remember who’s related and to override the warning of non-ownership. If you are one of these herds and have had these warnings come back to you in a pending animal report, please send your details to registrar@genetichub.com.au with subject: SIM Stud linking.
EOI FarmFair/Agribition tour in 2023 – ASBA is looking to put together a trade mission to Canada in November 2023.
The dates are Farm Fair Nov 8-11 & Agribition will be Nov 20-25. Please fill out the attached survey with your preference to one or both.
Annual magazine – The annual magazine is in the mail. Look for a bigger than usual magazine in celebration of the 50 years of Simmental in Australia. Once I hear a few have been received, an online version will be made available.
Wishing all our members and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
