CGEN/IGS transition countdown

Dear Members

One final extract to go before we are completely on CGEN. In the meantime, CGEN is a work in progress and while you have access to the public search area, some items will need to wait for the last extraction to be finalised.

Some DNA results aren’t showing the full explanation but you can see what those characters for Poll and Coat mean on our website. Pesti/BVDV and other add-ons will be updated in time.

Currently every member ever signed up is showing on the member search, once the final extraction is done, they will be archived and only current financial members will be shown.

We do encourage feedback, so please send through any queries you may have once the system is live.

CGEN Login access will be made available from 1st April. You will be sent your log in and password from that date. Your login will still be your herd ident.
The Registrar team are all well versed in CGEN so they should be your first point of call with any issues. You can email registrar@genetichub.com.au or call on 02 6933 1214.

How to videos are now available on the Genetic Hub and Simmental Australlia YouTube Channels, links will be added to our website closer to the changeover date.

We understand that there are herds that don’t have access to internet services and we will continue to service those members as we do now.

Online Sale Catalogues will be under a slightly different format but still under the Database Search tab of the website. You can click on the animal ident within the sale to see the pedigree and EPDs on CGEN. If you perceive any issues with upcoming sales withing these times, please contact us. Accredited Sires, Ausn Rights Sires and Donor Dams lists will be on the CGEN database as a “catalogue” on transition.

Breedplan members wishing to get their March reports are still able to login to the Download files area. Go to our website, Database Search, Animal Enquiry or Member Search, click on Download files and login.
