Eidsvold Simmental and Fleckvieh sale an inaugural success

The inaugural Eidsvold Simmental & Fleckvieh sale held at the Eidsvold saleyards last Saturday saw 58 registered bidders both on the grounds and online.

In all, 38 bulls sold of the 41 bulls offered. The sale topped at $18,000 with an average price of $7375, representing 93 per cent clearance, while 2/4 heifers sold for a top price of $3750 to average $3620.

Top priced bull honours went to 31-month-old polled Silver Linings Teddy, by Woonallee Notice N141 from Sliver Lining Polly offered by Jessica Beddown, Murgon.

Next at $12,000 was the Simmental Sweetholme Tilt by Meldon Park Quin and out of a Sweetholme purebred Simmental cow offered by Jo and Grant Berry, Ban Ban Springs.
