Simmental bulls sold to $18,000 on two occasions to set an overall average of $9200 at Tuesday’s annual Meldon Park Simmental bull sale, Rolleston.
Vendors the Skene family, Meldon Park stud, Cecil Plains and invited vendors Navillus Park stud, Obi Obi, and KBV stud, Djuan, saw an 86 per cent clearance at auction an increase in averages, compared to the 2023 result where an 89 per cent clearance, $9000 average and top of $28,000 achieved.
