News from Neogen
Neogen have replaced the 50K SNP chip with a 100K test at no extra cost for test requests from July 1. Members don’t have to change anything in the way of DNA requests, the Bundle will now automatically include this.
Make sure you download and print the form on the website as it is the most recent one.
Reminder:
From July 1, all registration emails and inquiries are to be directed to Felicity at office@simmental.com.au and phone inquiries to 0488 062 287 where the workload will be directed to one of the Hub Registrars.
All mail is to be sent to PO Box 216, Inverell 2360
DNA requests are to be emailed to Felicity with the DNA request form filled out and an electronic batch request will be returned to you to send your samples and the printed batch request directly to the lab. No DNA will be processed at the lab without the electronic batch request from Simmental. This should hasten any postal turnaround with mail being re-directed from Armidale.
Any questions on the Hub services can be directed to Stuart Moeck on 0419 465 242.
FAQ
Do we still register our calves on the member login screen?
Yes there is no change to the registration process, we still use the ABRI herdbook program and animal search/member search website.
Where do I send my Breedplan data?
Breedplan data should always be sent to the Breedplan team at ABRI via breedplan@abri.une.edu.au – ASBA has never processed this data.
