Wilkah makes Nifty Tugulawa purchase

A top price of $7,000 twice was achieved at Tugulawa Simmental Stud 9th annual bull sale at Mil-lel, SA.

Tugulawa stud principals Gary & Joy Allen were happy with the sale results after expecting a tough bull selling season. They were pleased to see new clients at the field days and sale day.

Tugulawa sold 15 of 18 bulls offered to average $4,733. A repeat client for the last 8 years Andrew & Angela Lyons, Wilkah Herefords, paid $7,000 for Tugulawa Nifty weighing 802 kg and an eye muscle of 117sqcm.

Lot1 Tugulawa Moomba sold for $7,000 to repeat buyers AJ Telford and sons, Mingbool, SA at 874 kgs and an eye muscle of 132sqcm. They also purchased lot 13 a FFS Maximus son for $ 5,500.

Another repeat buyer N N Kerr, Drik Drik, Vic, purchased 5 bulls averaging $4,450. Bulls sold into Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia.

The top end of Tugulawa females sold well averaging $3,571. Joel & Courtney Trim, Duri, NSW, purchased 2 females. Greg Tempelton, Nar Nar Goon, Vic, purchased 3 females. Tugulawa offered 15 females and sold 7.

Guest vendor Michael Quirk , Windy Pines Simmentals, sold 1 of 4 bulls to JW & D Rogers for $5,750 and they also offered 4 females, all were passed.
